Uniden's Top 5 Futuristic Games to play

Since the team at Uniden already selected some top five sci-fi movies to watch, let’s get into some sci-fi games that fans of a technological future, should go play. 

Star Citizen

Star Citizen is an open-world multiplayer trading and battle simulation game, that combines elements of MMO gameplay. Through different modules, players can experience space simulation, trading, and first person shooting combat through a massive multiplayer online format. 

James – “I don’t know what this is, but it looks incredible. Open world and starships? Sign me up!”

Gabe – “I think every future sci-fi game studio should copy this game.” 

Death Stranding

Death Stranding follows the journey of Sam Bridges, through the post-apocalyptic landscape of the United States. Follow Sam as he plays courier to deliver vital supplies to isolated colonies and attempts to reconnect the US through an expanded network.

James – “What could be better than playing a futuristic mailman who attempts to connect the United Sates back together. There’s clearly more to this game, but you get the idea.” 

Gabe – “Hallmark staple sci-fi game.

Max – “I play this game just to see the Acronym J1A-GTKP jacket in action.”

Cyberpunk 2077 

Cyberpunk 2077 follows the story of V, who can be thrust into a world of three separate choices: Nomad, Streetkid, or Corpo. Each path varies in beginnings and choices made. The world is now a lawless futuristic society that is divided up by the corporations that inhabit the landscape. Follow V as he tries to make sense of his role in the grander scheme of shady business.

James – “This is one of the best Cyberpunk experiences since the Blade Runner movies came out.”

Gabe – “Despite its gameplay, visuals are executed well.”

Watch Dogs (2014)

Follow the life of hacker, Aiden Pearce, in a futuristic Chicago metropolitan area. Aiden begins a journey to unfold the secrets behind his niece’s murder. Aiden must hack his way through the city to uncover the harrowing truth. 

James – “Running around and hacking the world would be fun. Sometimes I can’t even figure out how to screenshot images on my phone.”

Deus Ex Mankind Divided

Deus Ex Mankind Divided is the sequel to Deus Ex Human Evolution. The player takes control of Adam Jensen once again as he traverses the Cyberpunk and augmented society that is the norm. Jensen must make his way through uncovering secret conspiracies and societies that includes the Illuminati. 

James – “This game allows you to truly see the division between technology and mankind. It’s a really fascinating story.”
